potentially up to 12 months<\/strong><\/p><p>Permit validity period: <strong>1 to 3 years<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>For whom:<\/strong><\/p><p>A non-citizen who intends to stay in Poland for more than 3 months, with the primary purpose of employment, based on an employment contract or a civil law contract.<\/p><p><strong>Required documents:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>2 copies of the application for a temporary residence permit, completed in accordance with the instructions (to be completed by the non-citizen),<\/li><li>Annex No. 1 (to be completed by the employer),<\/li><li>Annex No. 1 (to be completed by the employer),<\/li><li>A valid travel document of the non-citizen (a photocopy of all written pages, the original for inspection),<\/li><li>Confirmation of payment of the stamp duty for the application and for the card,<\/li><li>If exempt from the requirement to have a work permit \u2013 a document confirming the exemption conditions are met (e.g. a diploma from a Polish university for full-time studies),<\/li><li>A certificate of no tax arrears or a declaration by the non-citizen stating no tax arrears are in the case of performing work under a contract for specific work,<\/li><li>A document confirming that the non-citizen has health insurance or that the insurer will cover the costs of treatment in Poland (e.g. printouts from ZUS &#8211; ZUS RCA for the last 3 months with information on sending and confirmation),<\/li><li>Information from the starosta about the inability to meet staffing needs on the local labor market for the job position offered to the non-citizen &#8211; required only when necessary.<\/li><\/ul><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-tab-title elementor-tab-mobile-title\" aria-selected=\"false\" data-tab=\"4\" role=\"tab\" tabindex=\"-1\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-8044\" aria-expanded=\"false\">PERMANENT RESIDENCE PERMIT<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-8044\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"4\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-8044\" tabindex=\"0\" hidden=\"hidden\"><h3>PERMANENT RESIDENCE PERMIT<\/h3><p>A permanent residence permit is an entitlement to reside in Poland for an indefinite period of time granted to a third-country national (i.e. a person who does not hold citizenship of one of the EU countries, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Switzerland) or to a stateless person, at their request, in specific cases.<\/p><p><strong>A permanent residence permit is granted if a third-country national who:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>is a child of a Polish citizen, under his\/her parental authority;<\/li><li>is a child of a non-citizen who has been granted a permanent residence permit or a long-term EU resident permit,<\/li><li>has a Polish Card or is a person of Polish origin &#8211; and intends to settle in Poland permanently,<\/li><li>is in a marriage recognized by Polish law with a Polish citizen and meets two consecutive conditions (1-2), i.e.: 1- was in this marriage for at least 3 years before the date of submitting the application for a permanent residence permit,<\/li><li>is a victim of human trafficking<\/li><li>immediately before submitting the application for this permit, resided continuously in Poland for a period of no less than: 5 years in connection with granting him\/her refugee status, granting subsidiary protection or consent to stay for humanitarian reasons, or 10 years on the basis of a consent for tolerated stay granted on the basis of Art. 351 points 1 or 3 of the Act on non-citizens,<\/li><li>has been granted asylum in the territory of the Republic of Poland,<\/li><li>is a citizen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, referred to in art. 10 paragraph 1 letters b and d of the Withdrawal Agreement, who until 31 December 2020 performed work in the territory of the Republic of Poland as an employee posted by a foreign employer to the territory of the Republic of Poland and meets all of the specified conditions (1-3), i.e. 1 &#8211; he\/she has been staying in Poland legally and continuously for at least 5 years immediately before submitting the application.<\/li><\/ul><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-tab-title elementor-tab-mobile-title\" aria-selected=\"false\" data-tab=\"5\" role=\"tab\" tabindex=\"-1\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-8045\" aria-expanded=\"false\">PESEL<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-8045\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"5\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-8045\" tabindex=\"0\" hidden=\"hidden\"><h3>PESEL<\/h3><p><strong>What is this number in Poland and why is it necessary?<\/strong><\/p><p>PESEL is a unique personal identifier that is assigned to every person residing in the country. It is an 11-digit individual identification number that uniquely identifies a specific natural person. The Polish PESEL is needed for many activities, such as opening a bank account, obtaining medical care or settling taxes.<\/p><p><br \/><strong>Without PESEL:<\/strong><\/p><p>It is not possible to access certain benefits, obtain certificates or complete settlements with the Tax Office (US) or the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS).
